the day ticked away it was going just fine
right till the sun and the moon collide left jaws hanging wide
everyone went out to see the firework sky
we cooked hot dogs and burgers like the forth of july
w/ our lawn chairs reclined the clouds danced in support
as the great blue beyond swirled the colors of court jesters
purple gold and casterly green
we all said to our phones it was the best thing that we'd ever seen
but you sat in a corner
and said that you hate the light
reminds you of someone that shines a little too bright
someone thats been gone now for a little too long
for you to sit still in time just plodding along
its like a giant broom came and it swept you away
past deep outer space past the whole milky way
she said she needed space but its not what she meant
as you float into nothingness alone in repent
theres the truth and the story which one happened to you my friend
was it the government or was it the things you said
